<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method capable of preventing a fog, density unevenness and further, the generation of a streak on an image caused by the sticking/fixing of toner on a layer regulating member and obtaining a stable image density by stabilizing the electrifying and carrying of the toner over a long period and also, an image forming method capable of remarkably prolonging the life of the layer regulating member, in an image forming method using a one-component developer. SOLUTION: An electrostatic latent image is formed on an electrostatic latent image carrier 1, the layer regulating member 5 is abutted on a developer carrier 3, to form a thin layer of the one-component developer on the developer carrier 3 and the electrostatic latent image on the carrier 1 is actualized. At this time, the layer regulating member 5 consists of a rigid body and is abutted on the developer carrier 3 with a pressure of 50 to 200 g/cm and the one- component developer is of an electrostatic charge developer constituted to incorporate toner mother grains consisting of at least binding resin and a colorant and inorganic fine grains whose Mohs'hardness is >=8 and average grain size is 0.1μm-10μm.</p> |
