<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability of a printer by accessing the data base of the service center of the printer maker automatically and sending an answer back to a user's computer when the user questions the printer at hand through the computer to find how to handle the printer trouble. SOLUTION: When a printer engine 2200 detects trouble first, a 1st computer 300 receives the trouble occurrence to the printer and its contents and questions a printer controller 2100 about how to handle the trouble. The printer controller 2100 transfer the question and the same contents to a 2nd computer 400. The all-printer management service processing part 4120 of the 2nd computer 400 obtains an answer to the question while retrieving and referring to the contents of an all-printer management information DB part 4130. Then the all-printer management service processing part 4120 sends the answer to the printer controller 2100 in the printer 200 and the printer controller 2100 transfers the received answer to the 1st computer 300.</p> |
