PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner carrier constituted so that an excellent image is stably formed without causing halftone or white surface fogging on the image even when it is used in a long term and deteriorating image quality though an environment is fluctuated. SOLUTION: This roller-like toner carrier is constituted so that the sum of A and B is <=0.17 mm when the change of the outside diameter of a roller between the environment of low temperature and low humidity that the temperature is 15 deg.C and the humidity is 10% RH and the environment of the high temperature and the high humidity that the temperature is 32.5 deg.C and the humidity is 85% RH is defined as A and the cylindricalness of the roller under the JIS B0621 is defined as B.
