PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for editing waveforms whereby errors in conventional methods for edition of waveforms are eliminated and edited correct waveform data can be generated automatically. SOLUTION: According to a waveform edition method, edited partial waveform data (A-B) are stored in consecutive addresses where partial original waveform data of selected consecutive points among an original waveform data of a plurality of points stored consecutively in order of address in a memory are shifted in a fixed direction. A data value of each address value of a smoothing area of a predetermined range consecutive outward from one end of the edited partial waveform data is obtained. Data of a smoothing edited waveform 60 smoothly connecting a curve of the original waveform data and a curve of the edited partial waveform data is generated accordingly. |
