Stretch fabric has a warp and/or weft yarn comprising textured polyester threads associated with elastomer yarns. An Independent claim is also included for a stretch fabric yarn. Preferred Features: The warp or weft may also include a traditional non-elastic yarn. Both the warp and the weft may comprises textured polyester threads twisted with the elastomer yarn. Each polyester thread has a size = 1/167 or 2/167 dtex. The yarn is formed by gathering and twisting or direct twisting at 600 turns per meter of the polyester thread(s) and the elastomer yarn.
