Token-operated lock for bottled gas vending sites

The lock has an enclosure (1) made from a non-magnetic material, with a slot (7) to allow penetration of a removable locking tongue (8) attached to a chain retaining the gas bottle. A second opening allows insertion of a magnetized token (15) which by magnetic action releases (20) the locking tongue to allow it to be removed and so release the gas bottle.
