The remote controller is made independent of batteries and has an integral generator based on electromagnetic, piezoelectric or photovoltaic principles. The remote controller can be integrated in a car key. Battery and capacitor storage may be incorporated. Batteries are soon discharged by ordinary multifunction controllers, independence from them may allow more functions to be controlled remotely, e.g. opening boot, bonnet and petrol flap.
