The radio receiver has stored operating instructions that can be retrieved and displayed on an output device. The operating instructions can be retrieved from a nonvolatile storage in the radio receiver. Means can also be provided to enable retrieval of the operating instructions from a central device that can be connected to the radio receiver via a transmission device.
