<p>A data recorder/reproducer excellent in capability of detecting and correcting data error and suitable for processing data in real time. At the time of recording data, a data recorder/reproducer (11) divides input data DI through a distributor (22) to generate a plurality of divided data and to generate a redundant Reed-Solomon code data P1, P2 for correcting the errors in the divided data through a redundant code generator (26). The divided data and the redundant code data P1, P2 are recorded by HDDs (211 to 21k, 281, 282). At the time of reproducing data, the data recorder/reproducer (11) reproduces the divided data and the redundant code data by the HDDs (211 to 21k, 281, 282), an error corrector (31) corrects the errors in the divided data based on the redundant code data, and a data multiplexer (32) multiplexes the divided data after error correction and outputs the multiplexed data.</p> |
