<p>Baking cheese product intended, in particular, for baking or frying, at least comprising a cheese core and one or more layer(s) of material which is/are attached thereto and connected to the cheese core by prior softening, under the influence of heat, of the surface of the cheese core, while at least one of the layers of material comprises a layer of crumbs, and a method for preparing a baking cheese product of this nature. The cheese product comprises in particular a cheese core with a layer of crumbs attached thereto, the layer of crumbs comprising grains of cheese and grains of starch.
