DIGITAL TELEPATHOLOGY IMAGING SYSTEM PROGRAMMED FOR IDENTIFYING IMAGE REGIONS OF POTENTIAL INTEREST AND ANTICIPATING SEQUENCE OF IMAGE ACQUISITION
摘要
A digital telemedicine imaging system (10) for enabling a clinician at a local site to observe, analyze and provide diagnostic opinions on medical specimens from patients at one or more remote surgical sites. The system (10) includes a server system (12) at each remote surgical site and a client system (14) at the local site. The server systems (12) are programmed with artificial intelligence-based software to enable the automatic identification, acquisition and transmission of image regions of likely potential interest to the clinician before the clinician begins a diagnostic session or while the clinician is observing previously transmitted images. The image identification, mechanical prepositioning and pretransmission function enhances the overall efficiency of both the imaging system and the diagnostic process supported by the system.
