<p>A shower filter is described which includes a housing (12) adapted to attach between a shower pipe (18) and a showerhead (20). The filter has an arm (32) extending out from a body (30) of the housing (12) that extends outward and upward from a connector (15) to the pipe (18). The filter thus is positioned substantially above the shower pipe (18) to allow placement of the showerhead (20) at the same level it would be at without the filter. The housing (12) includes a carbon block (36) and scale-deposit-inhibiting phosphate spheres (40) contained within the carbon block (36). The housing (12) can be easily hand-opened to remove the carbon block (36) and spheres (40). The filter may be connected to the showerhead (20) by using a connector (19) and swivel-collar style connection (24).</p> |
