CLAMP PULSE GENERATOR CONTROL

A clamp pulse generating system comprises a selector (100) for receiving a horizontal rate pulse signal and a deflection derived blanking pulse signal and switching therebetween to produce an output pulse signal responsive to a control signal. A clamp pulse generator (400) is coupled to receive the output pulse signal and generate responsive thereto a clamp pulse having a predetermined duration. A detector (250) is coupled to receive the horizontal rate pulse signal for generating the control signal which has a first state responsive to a presence of the horizontal rate pulse signal and a second state responsive to an absence of the horizontal rate pulse signal. The first state of said control signal switches the selector to receive the horizontal rate pulse signal (BLK) and the second state of the control signal switches the selector to receive the deflection derived blanking pulse signal.
