Removing stripe artifacts in medical imaging system

Rows of pixels are located in images containing stripe artifacts, and the rows are replaced with rows of pixels from which the stripe artifacts have been removed. To locate the rows, a filtered copy of the image is generated and rows in the filtered image are compared with rows in the image.
