The invention concerns a method for antiglare treatment of an organic or inorganic substrate, and a material having antiglare properties resulting from said method. Said method consists in a step for depositing a fluorinated polymer layer with low refractive index on said substrate from a deposit solution comprising said fluorinated polymer. The method is particularly advantageous for treating substrate sensitive to temperature increase such as phosphate substrates and can be applied to the manufacture of a Pockels cell.
