The pressure regulator has a cylindrical bore (42) containing a sliding piston (34), a chamber (32) and a duct between them. It also has a fluid inlet duct (48) with its outlet in the chamber and an outlet duct (60) leading to one side of the bore adjacent the piston. The piston oscillates between two positions, according to the chamber pressure; a first passing position , and a second regulated position. In this position the duct (72) is connected via a throttle (77) to the outlet duct. The piston oscillated to the first passing position when the pressure is below a set threshold level and in which the duct (72) is linked to the outlet duct (60), and to the second regulated position when the fluid pressure reaches the threshold level and causes an increase in the volume of the chamber (32). |
