A process is described for dyeing wool-containing fibre materials with anionic dyes, which comprises dyeing these materials in the presence of a wool protective agent comprising at least one compound of formula (1), wherein X is -NR-, -O- or -S-, A is an aliphatic radical containing 1 to 18 carbon atoms, phenyl or naphthyl, and R is hydrogen or an aliphatic radical containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or X-A is hydroxy or morpholino. This process gives rub-fast, level dyeings without any loss in the quality of the wool. |
