In sized fibers, preferably electret fibers, based on a fiber-forming polymer or polycondensate, not less than 80 wt.% of the size formulation volatilizes after 20 minutes at a temperature no greater than 250 degrees C, preferably no greater than 230 degrees C. Independent claims are also included for: (a) fibers, preferably electret fibers, sized with a formulation based on an amine oxide; (b) textile containing these fibers; (c) the production of the fibers; and (d) the production of the textile.
