The visor 1 has a light unit 7 that can be removed from the visor and used as a torch. The visor has a cavity (5, Figure 2), that opens at its lower edge 6, in which the light unit is detachably housed. As can be seen from Figure 3 the light unit has a grip portion 9 and a head portion 10 from which light is emitted. When housed in the visor the grip is concealed in the cavity while the head remains visible and lies flush with the visor's lower edge 6. Inside the light unit is a rechargeable battery for supplying electrical power when the light unit is removed from the visor. When inserted into the visor contacts (15, Figure 3) on the grip portion cooperate with plate springs 16 in the cavity to connect the light unit with the vehicle's electrical power system. An aperture 18 in the visor enables operating of a switch 14 on the grip portion of the light unit. |
