<p>This invention provides a method for hydroponically culturing plants by using a culture bed comprising an inorganic or organic porous medium, characterized in that a liquid fertilizer is supplied from a position above the culture bed to a rooting zone support portion thereof in the form of droplets having an average diameter of not greater than 1 mm, and an apparatus used for carrying out this method. According to the present invention, the growth of roots of plants is promoted. As a result, the growth of the plants is promoted, so that the yield and quality thereof can be improved. <IMAGE></p> |
