SEALING STRUCTURE OF CAP AND CONTAINER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure of a cap and a container wherein a threading process is effected simultaneously with a capping process and a cap having no band part for use in a conventional pilfer-proof structure is used. SOLUTION: A thin metal cap 10 is fitted on a mouth part 1a of a container, and while a top plate 10a of the cap 10 and a packing 11 interposed between the top plate 10a of the cap 10 and the forward end of the mouth of the container are being pressed, a region of a side body of the cap in opposition to a screw thread 1b on the outer periphery of the mouth of the container is pressed and deformed to form a threaded groove 10f. The lower part of the side body of the cap is not engaged with the mouth of the container. The periphery of the top plate of the cap is pressed and deformed to form a bent part 10 g which is bent downward.
