<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper post-processing device in which sheets of paper can be accurately aligned in a conveying direction by a post-processing part when a stack of two sheets of paper are conveyed to the post-processing part. SOLUTION: A first sheet of paper received by guide plates 1, 2 is deflected by a deflecting guide plate 3, passes through a first conveying path 4, and is stopped by a stopper 13. A second sheet of paper passes through a second conveying path 5, is stopped by the stopper 13, and is laid on top of the first sheet. Thereafter, the stopper 13 is opened, but since a conveying drive roller 7 in the first conveying path 4 has a smaller diameter than a conveying drive roller 9 in the second conveying path 5, the sheets of paper are conveyed in such a manner that the upper second sheet of paper advances slightly ahead of the first sheet and is caught by the next conveying rollers 15, 16. Thereafter, the sheets are conveyed through a path 33 to a post-processing part 40, wherein the sheets are aligned by the action of a returning roller 45 at an end fence 43.</p> |
