PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacturing method of a biaxially oriented film made of a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer excellent in a continuous stretching workability (stable manufacturing), a film thickness accuracy, gas barrier properties, a film strength, a boiling resistance or the like. SOLUTION: At the manufacturing of the biaxially oriented film made of an saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, the ethylene content of which is 10-60 mol.% and the degree of saponification of which is 90 mol.% or more, the water content in the saponified matter at a lengthwise or MD stretching is adjusted to be 3.5-8 wt.% and the saponified matter is lengthwise stretched at 40-75 deg.C and then crosswise or TD stretched. |
