PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an equipment for a continuous casting cast piece by which the strand of the length dimension determined beforehand can be obtained even in case troubles happen to a cutter, or the length dimension of the strand is changed, and also yield lowering and affecting the following process is suppressed as much as possible. SOLUTION: A CPU 31 compares the result length with the aimed length, and judges whether the result length is in the range of the aimed length±αor not. When the CPU 31 judges that the result length is in the range of the aimed length±α, the CPU 31 writes the information that cutting of the cast piece related to the aimed length has already finished on a cutting plan memorized in a memory 32. When the CPU 31 judges that the result length is out of the range, it compares the result length with the aimed length of the cast piece which is not cut, yet and judges whether there is a cast piece not being cut in which the result length falls in the range of the goal length±αor not. When the CPU 31 judges that the above exists, it writes the information that the cutting of the strand has already finished on the cutting plan memorized in the memory 32.
