<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the smooth sliding of a brake disc by providing the brake disc with a cylindrical cover to cover a joined part between an inner driver and the brake disc.s SOLUTION: A cylindrical cover 11 to cover a joined part between an inner driver 4 and a brake disc 5 is concentrically attached to both the faces of the brake disc 5. The cover 11 is made of a nonmagnetic material, for example aluminum. When an electromagnetic coil 2 is not under excitation, an armature 8 is pressed against the side of the brake disc 5 by a spring 9, and the brake disc 5 is put between an outer disc 6 and the armature 8. The rotation of a rotary shaft 3 is thereby controlled or kept in a static state. The metallic worn powder of the outer disc 6 and armature 8 and the worn powder of a brake lining 5a are produced during braking, but the cover 11 can prevent the entering and adhering of the worn powder to a spline coupling part.</p> |
