<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and remarkably improve the life-prolonging effect on cut flowers, vegetables, fruits, etc., using a mineral composition. SOLUTION: The mineral composition to be used in the subject process contains at least 4 kinds of minerals consisting of sodium, calcium, magnesium and potassium, wherein the weight ratio of sodium to the other mineral composition consisting of the sum of potassium, calcium and magnesium is 1:(50-3) and the weight ratio of the minimum component in the mineral composition other than sodium, i.e., potassium, calcium or magnesium to the other two components is 1/6 to 1/1 (based on 1 wt. unit of the minimum component). The mineral composition is dissolved in water at a sodium concentration of 0.0005-0.5% and the rhizome or surface of cut flower, vegetable, fruit, etc., is wet with the solution.</p> |
