PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lowering of electric dust collecting efficiency by air forcibly circulating action in an air cleaner provided jointly with an air forcibly circulating part in addition to an electric dust collecting part composed of a corona discharge electrode and a dust collecting electrode plate. SOLUTION: A wind generating device 14 for forcibly discharging the outside air taken-in from a suction hole 13 near the upper end of a main body case 1 from an air blowing port 20 on the upper end of the main body case 1 is provided as the air forcibly circulating part on the upper part of a dust collecting chamber 3 of the main body case 1, which is provided with the corona discharge electrode 4 and the dust collecting electrode plate 5. The wind generating device 14 is arranged at a certain distance G from the upper end part 5a of the dust collecting electrode plate 5. As a result, the dust collecting action for attracting fine particles charged negative toward the dust collecting electrode plate 5 is prevented from being obstructed by the suction force of the wind generating device 14.
