<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a residual ratio and to granulate efficiently by a method in which a material consisting mainly of waste plastic films is agitated in a closed granulator and cooled after melting. SOLUTION: Waste plastic films are crushed into an appropriate size and, after metal and others being separated, are supplied from the hopper 3 of a granulator 1 to the granulator 1 through a valve 4. After the supply, valves 4, 6, 8 are closed to make the granulator 1 closed, agitating blades 2 are rotated, and plastics are melted by the frictional heat of the agitation. When the plastics are melted into rain drops, the valve 8 is opened to introduce cooling water and others into the granulator l to cool the molten plastics. In this process, paper and powdery plastics are caught by the molten plastics to be granulated. When the mixture is cooled sufficiently, the valve 6 is opened, and granules are transported to a sweeping apparatus 5.</p> |
