PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise safety against forgery by forming a safety marking with two kinds of crystal materials including a chiral phase being distinguished by at least one character selected from chirality, color, a group of color blocks and located in the form of patterned marking. SOLUTION: A safety marking 5 used for protection means against forgery done by the use of a color copying machine is formed of containing at least two kinds of crystal liquid materials having a chiral phase being distinguished by one character selected from chirality, color, a group of color blocks and in the form of patterned or an unpatterned state. In another way, it is formed of containing at least one kind of crystal liquid material having a chiral phase magnified by a special method in its reflection zone. Furthermore, it is formed of including one kind of crystal liquid material having a chiral phase with a three dimensional arrangement. These safety markings can improve safety against forgery.
