PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an acidic ramming material having resistance to thermal shock, hardly causing crack, having improved corrosion resistance and packing properties, comprising a silica-based raw material as a main raw material, by adding a specific amount of one or more raw materials of an alumina raw material, metal aluminum and metal silicon. SOLUTION: This ramming material comprises 1-5 wt.% of one or more raw materials of an alumina raw material, metal aluminum and metal silicon. These substances have preferably <250 μm particle diameters. The particle diameters of the mixed raw materials are preferably adjusted to 80-60 wt.% of particles having >=250 μm particle diameters and 20-40 wt.% of particles having <250 particle diameters. A silica-based raw material is used as a main raw material and mixed with 1-5 wt.% of ultrafine particles of alumina having <=10 μm average particle diameter and 0.1-2 wt.% of potassium phosphate to give an acidic ramming material for attaining the same purpose. |
