<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make withstand high load, reduce the amount of flexure, make lightweight and easy to handle by connecting bendably more than one thermoplastic resin floor plate unit and stiffening the center of at least one floor plate unit in the longitudinal direction of a bed. SOLUTION: A floor plate for a bed designed for care is composed of more than one floor plate unit made from a thermoplastic resin such as polypropylene, which are connected bendably. Normally about four to seven floor plate units are connected bendably using connecting rods 3 as connecting portions. At least in one floor plate unit, the center in the longitudinal direction of the bed, that is, a part having a supporting width 1 is made more rigid than the other portions. The structure of the floor plate unit corresponding to the thorax for example is characterized by a top board about 2 mm in thickness, ribs of a supporting surface about 5 mm in thickness and other ribs about 2 mm in thickness. The maximum amount of flexure can be reduced to about 8.4 mm under about 300 kg load. The weight of a finished product can be reduced to about 3 kg. Thus the floor plate can be made lightweight and highly stiff.</p> |
