PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the air bubbles caught between a metal strip and a film even at a simple and high speed operation. SOLUTION: When a resin film is laminated onto one side or both the sides of a metal strip by giving pressing forces to a pair of laminating rolls, between which the running metal strip is pinched, the pressing force P (kg) of the laminating roll satisfies the inequality: P >=16×10<-6>×WRV<1.76> /πE, in which P (kg) is the pressing force of the laminating roll, R (mm) is the radius of the laminating roll, V (mpm) is the carrying speed of the metal strip, E (kg/mm<2> ) is the contact Young's modulus of the laminating roll, W (mm) is the length of the cylinder of the laminating roll and (π) is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. |
