METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MAKING AN ARTICLE WITH A PROFILED STRIP

In order to fit a prefabricated article with a profiled strip, the surface is firstly pretreated and then an extruder (16) is fed with a thermoplastic elastomer. At the outlet of the extruder (16), a pressure-withstanding heating pipe (22) conveys the material to a heated extrusion head (8) which is guided to the surface of the article by a robot (4). Application to a motor-vehicle window (glazing article) (1) in order to fit it with a profiled frame (24) around the periphery.
