PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum treating vessel (vessel for executing the treatment of molten steel under vacuum) remarkably improved in the durability. SOLUTION: As lining brick in the vacuum treating vessel, a magnesia-chrome brick having <=2.5×10<-13> m<2> permeability, obtd. by blending 70-90 wt.% electromelting magnesia-chrome raw material and firing at 1700 deg.C, is used. In this way, the infiltration of slag to the magnesia-chrome brick under vacuum is restrained, and the damage and erosion of this brick are reduced and the durability of the vacuum treating vessel can be improved. |
