PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weakly acidic cation exchanger capable of keeping and continuing the separation performance for a 1-valent and >=2-valent cation and the reproducibility and a producing method capable of more simply and efficiently producing the weakly acidic cation exchanger. SOLUTION: The weakly acidic cation exchanger is composed of a particle of a polymer with an ion exchanging group, which has a carboxyl group expressed by the formula and is bonded to the polymer chain through ether bond. (In the formula, Z<1> represents a 2-valent organic group, Z<2> represents an alkylene group, (k) and (l) represent individually 0 or 1, Y represents hydrogen atom, hydroxide group, a halogen group, <=3C alkyl group, an alkyloxy group or a haloalkyl group, (n) represents an integer of 1-5, (m) represents an integer of 0-4 and (n+m) is <=5). |
