SOLUTION: When a sliding door is moved in the opening direction, a main gear 10 engaged with a rack 3 is rotated, and simultaneously a driven gear 12 is also rotated. Then when the movement ends, repulsive force accumulated in a spiral spring 8 is transmitted to the main gear 10. Then torque in the closing direction is given to the main gear 10, and the sliding door is moved in the closing direction along he engaged rack 4. At this time, an oil damper 11 interlocking with the driven gear 12 controls torque of the main gear 10, and it is moved by appropriate sped. Because the rack 4 engaged with the driven gear 12 of the oil damper 11 is provided from the vicinity of the closed state of the sliding door of rack body 5 up to the closed state, the engaged state of the rack 4 with the driven gear 12 is made shorter, and after disengaging it is opened without influencing on the oil damper 11.
