DETECTION AND EXCLUSION OF UNCOATED PART OF PASTE FOR STICKING TIP OF CIGARETTE, AND SYSTEM THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for detecting and excluding an uncoated part of a paste on a paper for sticking a tip for keeping a filter on a cigarette bar. SOLUTION: An amount of paste coated on a paper 102 for sticking a tip is watched by using a particle radiation sensor, and whether the paper 102 for sticking the tip is properly arranged or not during the operation for sticking the tip of a cigarette in an ordinary cigarette production machine is observed by using a laser edge part-detecting tool. The output signal outputted from the particle radiation sensor is supplied to an uncoated part-detecting system 107 for generating an output signal when the uncoat or lose of the paste is detected. All of the uncoat signal or the lose signal of the paste, and paper edge part-detecting signal detected by the laser edge part-detecting tool are supplied to a programmable logical control unit 116. The programmable logical control unit 116 forms a discharging signal of the cigarette when detecting a defect state, the discharging signal is supplied to a discharging system 108 of the cigarette in a cigarette production machine to prevent the cigarette having a defect from being distributed.
