<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact culture medium excellent in molding and shape retaining properties, convenient for storage, transportation and handling, readily restoring to a prescribed size simply by pouring water thereon and intactly usable without loosening by making the culture medium include a coir dust and regulating the molding and shape retaining properties to a specific value or above. SOLUTION: This culture medium is obtained by including a coir dust and regulating molding and shape retaining properties to >=75%. In the culture medium, the restoration ratio is preferably 4-10 times and a fertilizer can further be contained therein. In the culture medium, the moisture content X before compression molding in a culture medium raw material is preferably 1 wt.% <=X<30 wt.%.</p> |
