PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy in the housing or delivering of carts by enabling individual carts to run following a predetermined course regardless of any branch point existing in a cart path concerning a system in which carts run being guided by a guidance line buried in the cart path. SOLUTION: A cart number transmitter and a stop command receiver are carried on a cart 1. Destination-wise guidance lines 15A and 15B are buried at a branch point 7 of a cart path to provide a guidance switch gear 17. A cart number receiver 19 and a stop command transmitter 21 are installed before the branch point 7. A controller 29 is so arranged that information on the destinations of individual carts and information necessary for the releasing of stop commands are inputted from external parts. The controller 29 inputs a cart number from the cart number receiver 19 to generate a destination signal of the cart corresponding to the number and transmits the signal to the guidance line switch gear 17. At the same time, a stop command releasing signal is transmitted to the stop command transmitter 21 when starting conditions are ready for the cart stopped before the branch point 7.
