<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing method with a bacterium, having safety to a human body, an inexpensive treatment cost, capable of dealing with a mixed gas of offensive smell containing plural aromatic organic compounds conventionally having difficulty in deodorization by bacterium treatment. SOLUTION: A bacterium Bacillus sp. TOL-1 (deposited in National Institute of Bioscience and Human-Technology as FERM P-16,476) capable of decomposing toluene, a bacterium Pseudomonas sp. XYL-909 (deposited in National Institute of Bioscience and Human-Technology as FERM P-16,470) capable of decomposing xylene, a bacterium Graphium sp. MEK-5 (deposited in National Institute of Bioscience and Human-Technology as FERM P-16,468) capable of decomposing methyl ethyl ketone and/or a bacterium Rhodococcus sp. MEK-8 (deposited in National Institute of Bioscience and Human-Technology as FERM P-16,469) capable of decomposing methyl ethyl ketone are used to decompose toluene, xylene and/or methyl ethyl ketone.</p> |
