<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concentrate of 4,5-dichloro-2-(n-ocyl-4-isothiazoline-3-done) that does not freeze under generally lower-temperature transportation and storage conditions and is more gentle to the environment and safe. SOLUTION: This liquid concentrate contains about 4-25 wt.% of 4,5- dichloro-2-(n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one), about 25-88 wt.% of a plasticizer in which the isothiazolinone is soluble, and about 8-50 wt.% of benzyl alcohol that stabilizes the concentrate so that it may not crystallize or freeze under its half-freezing conditions.</p> |
