In a shoe sole, an outsole (11) has recesses associated each with a stud (7) which in its position of use is secured to and projects away from the outsole, and which can be removed from this projecting position of use. It would be desirable to improve the effect of the studs by making them adaptable to the characteristics of the ground. For that purpose, each recess is a passage (8) which extends across the outsole (11) and receives the stud (7) in such a way that the stud can be pushed out into its position of use, and a layer (9) of a soft, elastic, viscous plastic material is provided on the inside of the outsole (11), in the region of the passage (8), and secured to the stud (7). The stud is pressed out by the foot when the ground presents a soft region, depression or recess. |
