PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a color filter having a wide range of color reproduction and a high transmittance by an ink-jet method. SOLUTION: An aqueous dye A having a chromaticity y value of not less than 0.520 and a chromaticity x value of 0.19-0.280 in a phosphoric acid type buffer solution of pH=7.5 and an aqueous dye B having the transmittance of 450 nm of not more than 50% when the transmittance of 530 nm is 95% in the same phosphoric acid type buffer solution are mixed by a ratio of 5:5-8:2 to obtain an ink. This ink is used to color a green picture-element.
