PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a side air bag. SOLUTION: Two base cloths 11 and 12 are sewn together so that a sack- shaped body part 18 is formed. Inside of this body part 18, a flameproof cloth 14 is arranged. The flameproof cloth 14 is formed by giving cut-in to one base cloth, where a pair of flameproof parts 22, coupling part 23, and an extension part 24 are provided in a single piece structure. The base cloths 11 and 12 are protected by the flameproof part 22 and extension part 24 against a high temp. gas flowing in from the side with the base end part 2a. The coupling part 23 can restrict the shape of the air bag 2 when it is spread. |
