<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat powdery iron source and C-containing dust powder in a low fuel ratio operation using fine grain solid fuel. SOLUTION: In the operational method, by which iron source and the solid fuel are charged in the furnace from the upper part of the vertical furnace 1 having multi-stage tuyeres 9a, 9b in the height direction of the sidewall in the furnace body 9 and oxygen-containing gas at room temp. or <=600 deg.C is blasted from the tuyere 9 to execute a reduction-melting, a raceway part 10 is formed only to the upper step tuyere 9b and the powdery iron source and/or the C-containing dust powder are blown from the upper step tuyere 9b and treated.</p> |
