<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst combustion device to rapidly detect the temperature of a catalyst, rapidly shut off fuel when failure in ignition occurs or a catalyst temperature is extraordinarily increased, and decrease the occurrence of leakage of fuel and the damage to apparatuses. SOLUTION: This catalyst device comprises a fuel tank 12; a combustion chamber 13 having a catalyst 14 for combustion; a catalyst temperature sensor 15 to detect the temperature of the catalyst 14 for combustion; a fuel shut-off valve 16 coupled to a flow passage between the fuel tank 12 and the combustion chamber 13; and a control part 17 to control the fuel shut-off valve 16 by an output signal from the catalyst temperature sensor 15. The control part 17 closes the fuel shut-off valve 16 when a catalyst temperature is lower than a given lower limit temperature or higher than a given upper limit temperature. This constitution rapidly detects the temperature of the catalyst, rapidly shuts off fuel when failure in ignition occurs and a catalyst temperature is extraordinarily increased, and reduces the occurrence of leakage of fuel and the damage to an apparatus.</p> |
