A revolving irrigation water jet with a mechanism to distribute jets of water (diffuser) which includes a main body 1, a lid 2, a rotor 4 and a diffuser 3 which on its upper circular part has two long and narrow projections 3a which are driven around and through the small curved teeth that are engraved on the lower part of the lid 2 which is fixed. The movement is caused by the thrust of the jet of water and is assisted by the rotor 4 which touches on the diffuser 3. As the diffuser turns only in a clockwise direction due to the curvature of the teeth, the jet of water either passes through the small rods and waters a large radius or "breaks up" on the small rods and diffuses at a shorter distance. This ensures absolutely uniform watering within a circle of 12 metres radius. Moreover the invention includes a main body 1 within which all the components are mounted, being assembled in a very simple manner, one mounted inside the other. The exceptionally satisfactory degree of uniformity of watering in combination with the low cost of production, gives this water jet valuable new features in the broader field of irrigation. |
