This self-adhesive device, e.g. a hook, is also detachable. Its front is used for holding and the rear has a strip of double-sided adhesive sheet adhering to it, such that an end protrudes beyond the edge of the base plate. This serves as a grip. Pulling the strip here, along the plane of adhesion, stretches it, to release the adhesion achieved, hence freeing it. A novel feature of the device is the grooving of the base region, where the adhesive strip is glued to it. The grooves extend out over the area of the strip. Also claimed is use of a base plate as described.
