PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer recording medium capable of being color printed inexpensively by using a thermal transfer recording system and a method for manufacturing it. SOLUTION: A heat resistant print layer 4, a heat sensitive transfer ink layer 3 and a sticky layer 2 are sequentially screen printed on one surface of a base material 5 of PP or the like, and formed in a laminated state. The laminated layers 4, 3 and 2 are releasably adhered onto woodfree paper 1 at the layer 2 side to form the thermal transfer recording medium. After this is set in a thermal printer, it is printed as needed. Then, the layers 2 and 3 of printed parts are thermally transferred onto the paper 1. After the printing is finished, when the medium A made of these three layers is released from the paper 1, a non-printed part is retained at the layer 4 side, and removed. Accordingly, a price card on which a character of different color is printed can be formed much inexpensively as compared with the case of using a color copier. |
