BLOCK COPOLYMER AND RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a block copolymer which can provide a polyphenylene ether-based resin with excellent weathering properties without deteriorating the satisfactory surface appearances of a molded product to be formed, a resin composition obtained by blending a block copolymer with a polyphenylene ether-based resin, and a molded product. SOLUTION: A block copolymer comprises a polymer block (A) consisting of 30-100 mol.% of an aromatic vinyl monomer unit and 70-0 mol.% of a vinyl monomer unit capable of copolymerizing with the aromatic vinyl monomer unit and a polymer block (B) consisting of 0.1-100 mol.% of a vinyl monomer unit containing a benzotriazole and/or a hindered amine group and 99.9-0 mol.% of a vinyl monomer unit capable of copolymerizing with this vinyl monomer unit. A resin composition comprises a 100 pts.wt. polyphenylene ether-based resin blended with 0.01-20 pts.wt. of the above block copolymer.
